Safe Asbestos Roof Encapsulation

Encapsulate ageing asbestos-cement roofs with a protective coating — a cost-effective, lower-risk alternative to removal.

Why it matters

Ageing asbestos-cement roofs become brittle and porous over time, shedding fibres as the surface weathers and cracks — a health hazard and a growing maintenance liability. Full removal is costly, disruptive and high-risk, requiring licensed handling and roof downtime. Encapsulation seals the fibres in place with a tough protective coating, extending the roof's life and weatherproofing it at a fraction of the cost and risk of stripping and replacement.

How encapsulation works

We begin with a survey and condition assessment to confirm the roof is sound enough to encapsulate. The surface is then safely cleaned and prepared under controlled conditions before a seamless protective coating (such as Krypton's Rayston systems) is spray-applied across the whole roof. The cured membrane locks existing fibres in place, bridges hairline cracks and provides a durable, weatherproof finish — with far less disturbance, cost and risk than removal.
